Journalism Test Statements

Police Chief: (Video)

Last night around 3am, the police station received a noise complaint regarding activities at Blues High School. When police responded they discovered that there was a broken window at the back of the school. Upon inspection of the school, Constable Hamilton found a severely injured and unresponsive person in one of the classrooms. Constable Hamilton immediately called for paramedics. When paramedics arrived they pronounced the victim dead. The victim is identified as nineteen year-old Bobby Flay. At the scene, police found a gun. The victim was shot three times in the chest.

There will be no questions at this time.

Forensics source: (email)

I just analysed the crime scene and found female blood at the scene. Looks like it came from the killer.

Wife: (Interview)

Bobby Flay was the best husband a wife could have. He was always there for me. However, a few weeks ago he started to hang out with some guy named Jack Bauer. Since then he’s been coming home late with a bunch of excuses. He told me he was meeting Jack the night of the murder. It must have been Jack that killed him.

There will be a funeral service for Bobby at Barker’s Funeral Parlour this Friday, October 30th.

Message from Forensics' Lab

I just analysed the crime scene and found a bloody hand print. I tested the blood and it belongs to a female. Probably the killer.

Google News

Google News is not a newspaper. It is a collection of articles from news sources from around the world. Google takes articles from all newspapers and lets the reader read any of the articles for free.
Consider the following questions:
Is Google News a good service in a democracy? Is Google News helping the journalism industry or harming it?
Think about this before you answer because it?s more complex than it first appears. Talk it out with a partner if necessary.
